FOURTEENTH RISK ASSESSMENT SUMMER SCHOOL (RASS XIV), September 4 – 12, 2010, Hotel Hoeri, Bodensee, Germany.    The Executive Committee of IUTOX is pleased to announce the Fourteenth Risk Assessment Summer School (RASS XIV) to be held September 4 – 12, 2010 at Hotel Hoeri, Bodensee, Germany. The application deadline for RASS has been extended to April 30, 2010.  Please let your members know that there is still time to apply for this prestigious opportunity. 
     RASS is a specialized training and educational activity which emphasizes learning rather than teaching. The objectives are to offer young toxicologists unique opportunities to broaden their knowledge and experience in the field of chemical risk assessment and to better understand the data evaluation process.  RASS is an exclusive training course with few formal lectures and ample time for discussions initiated by lectures, faculty cases and most important of all, study cases, written by the students themselves in advance. The purpose of the discussions is to convey the knowledge and the experience of the faculty to the students and to open up new vistas for those who are eager to learn and to take on new challenges. 
Who May Apply? 
Applications are welcomed from students who are:
   • scientifically qualified in toxicology
   • degreed, preferably at the PhD level
   • working or have work experience
   • not more than 35 years of age
   • able to communicate in fluent English 
     A maximum of twenty students will be selected by IUTOX based upon merits, geographical distribution, affiliation, and area of interest. Please see the IUTOX Web site for application requirements and submit your application by April 30. (http://www.iutox.org/rass.asp)
