The International Journal of Toxicology publishes fully refereed
papers covering the entire field of toxicology, including research in risk
assessment, general toxicology, carcinogenicity, safety evaluation,
reproductive and genetic toxicology, epidemiology and clinical toxicology,
mechanisms of toxicity, new approaches to toxicological testing, and
alternatives to animal testing. Reviews and major symposia in the field are
included.
- Submissions by authors in the following areas are invited in addition to
manuscripts describing original research in all areas of toxicology. Address
all correspondence to the Editor-in-Chief. Also see the
Instructions to Authors for more information.
-
Letters to the Editor: Letters should be addressed to the Editor with
regard to any published papers. Also any letters regarding any information of
interest to the readers of this journal are considered.
-
Book Reviews: Reviews on any recent Books of interest to the readers of
this journal are welcome. These reviews should be submitted to
Dr. Robert W. Kapp, Jr., the Book Editor.
-
State-of-the-Art Reviews: Any area of Toxicology, particularly in
Regulatory Toxicology, International Harmonization, Risk Assessment and related
areas.
-
Perspective-Counterperspective: Articles of opposing views in the form
of a debate are highly welcome in any area of Toxicology. Examples of three
main areas are:
(1) Discussion of mechanisms of toxicity based on scientific evidence
(2) Regulatory issues and Risk Assessment. State of the Science in areas of
cancer and noncancer endpoints, animal to human extrapolation, incorporation of
emerging mechanisms and concepts in risk assessment, and methodology of risk
assessment.
(3) Any contemporary issue. Environmental estrogens, risk assessment of metals
such as Arsenic, threshold concept in cancer risk assessment, etc.
-
Enquiries regarding the publication of proceedings of meetings, and topical
Symposia are welcome.
